  21. Funny you should mention this as we have just completed a project fading an
  22. Earth object with glow on the atmosphere to a gold ball in a logo.
  23.  We had the same problem at first but we managed to correct it by ramping
  24. down the glow radius envelope (in the effects panel)  as the atmosphere
  25. dissolved. After the atmosphere was completely dissolved I brought the
  26. glow radius back up. 
  27.  This only works if you have no other objects you wish to glow at that time.
  28. Even this can be done by rendering the planet sequence separately and
  29. compositing them together.
